2024 REQUIRED Outbound Orientations:

  • April 5-7, Montrose, CO
  • June 7-9, Denver, CO

Mountain & Plains RYE orientation is mandatory for all outbound students and their parent(s) or guardians.

Proper preparation for your year abroad is vital to your success. We want you to have the tools you need for your best possible year.

Orientation is a combination of important information, participatory exercises, and fun, as you learn more about your host countries. You will be given opportunities to connect with inbounders from countries you will be going to, and Rotex members and Rebounders (past Mountain & Plains RYE students who have “been there, done that.”  You will also learn ways to deal with the ups and downs of a year abroad. The orientation takes place in Colorado Springs, CO in mid-March.
